FAQs

How long does coffee last for?

The fresher your coffee the better we say as coffee degrades over time. Coffee does not actually go “off” as long as you keep it dry, but it just won’t taste as good as a fresh roast.

As soon as the coffee is roasted it starts to lose its freshness. The coffee will need to degas between 4-7 days after the coffee has been roasted then it’s at its best for drinking.

We always recommend Whole bean coffee because it will stay fresher for longer and you can experiment with the perfect grind size. Whole bean typically lasts for around 2-3 months and pre-ground coffee will be best for 3-4 weeks.

How should I store coffee?

To keep your coffee fresh we recommend storing it in an air-tight bag or tub in a dark dry cupboard. This is because coffee doesn’t like air, moisture, heat and light. Your coffee will stay fresher longer if you can keep it away from these 4 elements.

Can you keep coffee in the fridge?

There’s a lot of moisture in your fridge and as soon as coffee gets wet it goes off. Coffee is also very porous and absorbs the smells around it, so it might start picking up strange odours from other items in your fridge.
